No RealDVD for a while… RealNetworks has been prevented from marketing its ReadDVD software for copying movies to your hard drive. This has been opposed by several major studios. However, what do we actually buy when we get a movie DVD? What do you think?

Who wants to be king of the hill, anyway? When you are Microsoft, Apple or Google, you are the target of all sorts of attacks. This is just another one. Our patent process is so out of date that small companies are trying to win big settlements from the larger companies rather than put out a better product themselves. While this may sometimes be justified, in many cases it borders on harassment. What do you think?
