JerryPhoto_8x8_P1010031 Daniel Boone lived a life that inspired many a young boy and many grown men. He lived a life of adventure, danger, and exploration. He is said to have opened up the lands west of the Appalachian Mountains, especially Tennessee and Kentucky. He opened the Cumberland Gap, which became the main road used to settle those western lands.

He inspired a boys organization that became the Boy Scouts. I loved to pursue such adventures when I was a scout. What a feeling of freedom to feel that one can create order in chaos and find live with Nature rather than using up Nature. Here is a chance to reignite that spirit of adventure we all had as kids.  GLB
