Commentary

JerryPhotoWe turn our attention to a time in the past that, at that time (1945), represented one of the greatest offenses against mankind — the Nazi German Concentration/Death Camps and the systematic process of filling them. While these camps were primarily created to dispose of the Jewish population as part of the Holocaust, the were also used to remove other out-of-favor groups. The process of killing was nearly perfected as part of the Wanasee Conference that defined the Final Solution.

The Nuremberg Trials prosecute the twenty-one leaders of the Nazi war machine. Most of these were sentenced to death by hanging. An incredible side note on this process is revealed at the (apparently) honest attempt to allow the accused to put on a real defense. The unfortunate consequence has been seen in recent decades in the use of genocide and “ethnic cleansing” in both Bosnia and Africa. When will we learn our lesson?

So join us now for a look into this trial and the war crimes being addressed…  GLB
