Commentary
UNICEF, a name that now is generally synonymous with the defense of children’s right, including health care and safety from abuse, was started on this day in 1946 Austria to help those children displaced during World War II. Its role and effectiveness has kept pace with the needs of children, especially those in the so-called “thied world.”
